The ♭6 of B♭ is G♭
The ♭6 (flat six, written b6) of B♭ (B flat, Bb) is G♭ (G flat): a minor sixth above the root.
How to find it
Count letters first, the root included: B, C, D, E, F, G. A 6th lands on G.
Then the sound: a minor sixth is 8 semitones above B♭, and the G that is 8 semitones up is G♭.
That is why it is G♭ and not F♯: F♯ is the same key on the piano, but from B♭ it would be a 5th, not a 6th.
Where you meet it
